Is CAD used in making parts or modules for home-building?

Computer Aided Design is used in aviation and manufacturing, etc, but how much is it used in the building of homes - to save energy and time?
,,,used in the improvement of factory-building homes before they are put-together on site?

I use CAD everyday, as a draftsman, on every project we design build. Every time I ask an architect to send me drawings or I send them drawings we send in CAD format. So, I know people use it :)

Computers are used in the creation of almost everything, especially design plans.

It would be rare to find new house plans drafted by hand.

    I’m a Civil Designer.
