CAD, it plays to more industries and gives you more options. Stay away from programing a computer technologies. Have you not noticed all those jobs are getting outsourced? Outsourcing means they are trying to reduce cost. Would that not suggest to you that pay is not going to be good long term if you even find the job?
Stay away from general computer technologies!!!!!!! Specialize in deverse area’s that is not related to only one industry. Design, can be used in many applications for multiple industries.
hello, most probably all computer students think that programming and coding are only the major work in all software companies. but it is entirely wrong. many other works are there with nontechnical areas.
for example, the SYSTEM ANALYST. he will be the main role in SDLC(Software Developement Life Cycle), to analyse the system. actually the software developement will start with him. he will be the planner to develope entire software. there is no programming. rather, there will be the planning of the system developement.
then next, the DESIGNER. he is the desiger of the softwre to be developed. the big problem(software) can be divided into many sub modules and finally all sub modules are integrated to make the entire software. the module design, the module dependancies are made with the designer. here also no programming.
then CODING. here is the programming phse. then TESTING. here we test the software. here little bit programming invoves. finally MAINTENANCE.
these are all the software developement phases. here only 20% is in coding. analysing is in 60% and design is in 40%. so there is more oppoutunities in non technical area.
BUT AS A FRESHER you should be ready with some your college level programming techniques. this will help you to enter into the company. further you can choose your own interested area.
I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST IN YOUR CAREER LIFE.
Good Luck.

Something that is BIG and getting bigger are any internet related fields. If you want to do software stuff you can go into Network Security, database administration, web design, etc. If you want more hardware, you can learn how to build office networks, configure routers, maintain internet servers.
There are a lot of options other than programming.
cad and cam services and now a days all field must required computer so don’t afraid by it and do interesting thing beside asking some one here and there ……………….
